Bei phpMyAdmin handelt es sich um ein in PHP entwickeltes Script, um MySQL Datenbanken über das Web zu verwalten. Mit der derzeitigen Version lassen sich Datenbanken erstellen (create database) und löschen (drope database). Tabellen können eingefügt, gelöscht und geändert (create/drop/alter table) werden. phpMyAdmin kann auch jedes beliebige SQL Statement ausführen.

Das Importieren und Exportieren von Datenbanken in verschiedene Formate ist auch möglich. phpMyAdmin ist inzwischen schon in über 50 Sprachen übersetzt worden.
